This week Matt was off saving the UK from the Loch Ness Monster, so Kyle and Gary showed up along with Grant as usual. We argued a bit about Halo: Reach and I gave the worst explanation of Audiosurf of all time.

If you liked hearing Kyle and Gary they have a podcast over here.
If you want to help support indie developers (do it) and/or sick children (they need your help) here is the link to pay what you want for some great games.
The song is from Fighter X again.
We still want writers and people to guest host, so if you are interested send me an email at Oldspencer(at)gmail.com
New Halo is much more like Halo 1 where health is a bar that doesn't come back. Which makes sense since the game is set /before/ Halo 1 anyways. So fans of Halo 1 and 2 but not 3 will probably enjoy Reach more than they did 3. Personally I'm looking foward to not having equipment (cause that was a silly pick-up) and instead just having a Team Fortress-esque class item thingy.
ReplyDeleteAlthough nades seem to have reverted to their annoying Halo 2 power. Halo 3 I liked not dying from nades randomly... but the weapons and hitboxes felt yucky. Halo 2 felt less clunky and I loved the huge lunge plasma rifles had... but I hated stepping near (but not on) nades and dying instantly.
Hopefully there's a balance where you can nade harass effectively but not insta-gib people within a large area like in Halo 2.
Stan you post something every time, it cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteIt's because I'm not in the podcast and I had something to add. (used to be a rare occurrence)
ReplyDeleteAlso Halo takes place in like... 25xx or something retarded. So it should be CoD: Ultra modern whatever 25xx.
